Unveiling the Universe of Surveys: Understanding Paid Survey Status

Palpito

In a world increasingly focused on data collection and analysis, understanding the various terms and statuses related to surveys is essential. This article will explore the intriguing universe of surveys, uncovering concepts such as “survey status,” “technical terminate,” “survey closed,” “quota full,” and “screen out.”

By understanding these terms, you’ll be better equipped to navigate the complexities of surveys and data analysis, whether as a researcher, respondent, or someone who simply wants to better understand the world of opinion and market research. Let’s start our journey through the fascinating world of surveys!

What Does “Technical Terminate” Mean?

If you receive a “Technical Terminate,” it occurs when the survey is set to be answered only on a standard desktop/PC, and you may have tried to complete it on a mobile device. The same rule applies if the survey is mobile-compatible but attempted on a PC/Desktop.

It’s also possible that the survey requires a Flash player, and your system isn’t compatible.

What Does “Survey Closed” Mean?

If you receive a “Survey Closed” message, it means that the survey has collected enough responses within a given target group or that the project has concluded. We encourage people to respond as early as possible to maximize participation potential and complete the survey before it closes. Some surveys close automatically due to inactivity, usually after 10-15 minutes.

What Does “Quota Full” Mean?

If you receive a “Quota Full,” the survey has typically filled up with respondents in the same target range. This can happen before a survey starts, usually indicated as closed, or sometimes in the initial survey phase when specific criteria are met (e.g., within a particular age group).

This varies according to the response rate of any survey and the total number of responses needed for different people to fill a quota. For this reason, we encourage participants to respond as quickly as possible. For surveys where you receive a “Quota Full” message, they don’t count as completed surveys, and no reward is obtained since the information isn’t used.

What Is a “Screen Out”?

Surveys you receive typically seek opinions from a very defined group of people. If we don’t yet have that information, we’ll ask a few questions at the beginning of a survey to ensure it’s relevant to you. Otherwise, you may be “excluded” or receive a message that you didn’t qualify for the survey this time.

Instead of wasting your time with responses that can’t be used, the survey ends earlier (usually within the first few questions). This can happen occasionally, even if you were initially selected to participate, as some surveys require more specific information than the system can initially provide.
